WHAT IS CHIAROSCURO?
REBUILT FOR EACH SHIRT COLOR
Print it the ordinary way and the background stays, or the tones fight the shirt. The artwork sits on the tee instead of becoming part of it.
THE ARSANIMA WAY
We don't print the night sky. We only print the stars.
Chiaroscuro Architecture uses the fabric's own darkness as the shadow. Each artwork is rebuilt, tone by tone, for the shirt color it will live on.
A weightless feel. Infinite depth. A shadow you can touch.
True to size.

Innocence comes through the dark and settles as a gleam on the cheek. The famous gaze keeps its secret and wears cuteness the way it wears the pearl — lightly, and on purpose.
The moon survives by surrendering a little of itself to darkness each night. What disappears is never lost; it is only gathering the courage to become whole again.
A father's hand remembers what a crown commands the mind to forget. Too late, power discovers that remorse can cradle the dead, but it cannot return breath to what pride has broken.
Two truths share one face and turn from one another, each certain the other is a lie. Between them, the soul stands trial before a judge that will never speak.
The door begins to close before their hands agree to part. No face is needed; the whole tragedy lives in the fingers that cannot decide whether love means holding on or letting go.
She wears composure as others wear armour. What seems like grace is the elegant discipline of carrying storms so quietly that even sorrow mistakes her for peace.
The body surrenders to earth, but motion refuses burial. What once flew leaves behind more than bone: a trace of freedom that death can outline, never possess.
Change the country, the window, the light above the road; the soul arrives unchanged beneath every sky. Distance can alter the view, never the private wound carried across it.
The world rushes past in borrowed haste, yet one question refuses to move: if the heart remains where it was wounded, is it faithful—or merely still?
Heaven heard every word and answered with silence. Still the hands remain joined, because faith is most tragic not when it is rewarded, but when it continues after hope has lost its wings.
The bones of death are crowned by the brazen ivy of life. The flora spilling from the voids of the soul proves how nature reclaims what time cannot rot away, transforming it into a masterpiece.
Truth waits at the bottom of every glass, patient and merciless. When the wine spills, the reflection escapes with it, and the drinker meets the self he came to forget.
Cast from heaven, he hides his face not in shame but to keep grief from becoming surrender. One tear falls; the rest of him remains at war with the fall.
Men have tried to measure beauty with geometry, rank and reason. Her gaze survives every calculation, calmly reminding the observer that what can be studied may still refuse to be known.
Two ancient spirits turning behind the ocean and the mist, locked in an endless dance. The hypnosis of that bottomless, mystical dream inside eternity — a dream no one wakes from.
The court sees grace; history senses a secret. Beneath her measured calm, instinct remains watchful and untamed, guarding a truth no anatomist, lover or century has managed to name.
There comes a depth where struggle becomes another kind of noise. She releases the world above, and silence, once feared as death, receives her like a sanctuary.
The music does not end when the strings break. It lingers between two hands that still remember the same song, even as silence claims the place where they once met.
The last note died centuries ago, yet the musician still listens for its return. Between the painted face and the unheard melody, an eternal duet continues in silence.
Love reaches its final border, and even absence cannot make the hands forget one another. The embrace becomes eternal at the very instant the world tears it away.
Some drown without ever touching water. Beneath a calm face, an unseen tide pulls memory, anger and longing toward a depth no witness can name.
Every oath summons a witness. What was invited as strength now waits behind the soul, patient as debt, until the one who wore the mask can no longer tell where the bargain ends and he begins.
Some letters are too sacred to keep and too heavy to carry. So the flame is asked to finish what the heart cannot, and every rising ash becomes proof that ruin may still ascend.
They took his sight, believing darkness would make him kneel. Instead, grief found roots beneath the bandage and bloomed crimson, proving that some truths grow fiercest when the eyes are closed.
Once the bolt is drawn, duty, reputation and daylight are exiled beyond the door. For one stolen hour, desire writes its own law and time agrees to keep the secret.
The body has gone, yet the current keeps its covenant with the shape it loved. Absence drifts where a life once stood, refusing to become nothing.
That bittersweet smile of a grief long after the death, permeating the petals of a black rose; the elegance of loss cloaks itself in the dark.
They hold each other in the present, unaware that the future has already entered the room. Time does not tear them apart at once; it places a golden distance between them and waits.
The sky opens and the city has one moment left. What settles in the pupils is not terror but recognition — the last thing they see, they see clearly.
HOW IT SITS
Not oversized. Not slim-fit. Take the size you normally wear in a regular-cut t-shirt — this is what that looks like, and what one size up looks like.
In your size
The shoulder seam sits right on the shoulder line.
One size up
The seam has dropped below the shoulder line, onto the arm. Longer sleeve, more room through the body — 4 inches more around the chest, 1 inch more in length. Some people want this; now you know what you are choosing.
Shown on a plain grey tee so the seam reads clearly. Same cut, same sizes as every ARSANIMA piece.
NOT SURE OF YOUR SIZE?
Put on a regular-cut t-shirt you wear often — not a dropped-shoulder or oversized style. Check the body first, then the shoulder.
-
Body. Pulls anywhere — chest, stomach, back? Go one size up from that shirt's size. Loose through the body, or hangs long? That shirt is a size up; go one down.
Sized up for the stomach? The whole shirt grows and the shoulder will sit wide. That's the trade-off, and no size gets around it. - Shoulder. In the right size the seam sits on the shoulder line — the first photo. Broad shoulders? A little inside. Narrow? A little past. Both are fine; don't change size for the seam alone. Fits your shoulders but hangs loose everywhere else? That is a size up — the second photo.
Lost or gained weight since you bought your shirts? Skip this and measure yourself below.
IF YOU WANT TO BE CERTAIN
Measure — the shirt, or yourself.
-
Measure a shirt you like the fit of. Lay it flat on a table.
Width: across the chest, 1 inch below the armhole. Length: from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem.
Take the size whose width is closest to your shirt's. Between two sizes? Go by width, not length. -
Or measure yourself. Around the fullest part of your chest, tape level.
Compare it with the Around the chest row. The photos above show how much room each choice gives you.
Fit guide
These are the shirt's measurements, laid flat — not your body's. "Around the chest" is the width doubled: the full circumference of the shirt.
Imperial (inches)
Metric (centimeters)
Measurements may vary by ±1.5 in (3.8 cm).
THE CARE RITUAL
To keep it looking right:
- Cold Wash: Max 86°F / 30°C, with like colors.
- Air Dry: Tumble dry low if you need to, but air drying protects the print — and the size. Cotton shrinks in a hot dryer; wash cold, dry low or on a line, and it stays close to the size you bought.
- Iron Inside-Out: Always inside-out, medium heat. Never iron directly on the print.
- Avoid: Dry cleaning, bleach, fabric softener.
None of this is delicate handling. It is a t-shirt. These are just the habits that buy it more washes.
IF THE RITUAL IS BROKEN
The print resists peeling and cracking. But constant high heat and machine drying will cost you:
- The Light Goes Out: The color dulls early.
- The Haze Settles: High heat lifts the cotton fibers, and a permanent blur sets over the fine detail.
- The Depth Goes: The sharp line between the art and the unprinted space weakens. Contrast softens, and the edge disappears.
Protect the light, or let the void consume it.
Most tees are made fast. This one wasn't. 100% combed and ring-spun cotton.
- The Yarn: The short fibers are combed out; the long ones are spun into thread. That's why it feels soft, stays smooth, and holds a print cleanly.
- The Structure: Side-seamed — it won't twist. Shoulder-taped, so the shoulder holds its line. Tightly knit, so print edges stay sharp.
- The Weight: Weight alone doesn't define quality. 4.2 oz light jersey — it falls with the body instead of holding its own shape. And no bulk under a jacket.
- The Silhouette: It follows the line of the body. No exaggeration, nothing hidden.
- The Length: The body is cut long — 29 inches at M, an inch more with every size. Tuck it in and it stays where you put it; lift your arms and nothing rides up.
- Pigment: Water-based pigment, cured into the cotton rather than laid over it as a film. The artwork is in the fabric, not on it — it moves as the fabric moves.
